Set off today with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a remarkable construction where Vietnamese people express their profound love and gratitude to the great leader (closed Monday & Friday weekly and all afternoons). Then stroll around the serene grounds while learning about Ho Chi Minh's life and legacy. There is an option to visit the nearby iconic One Pillar Pagoda, built-in 1049. Continue to the Temple of Literature, a serene retreat from the busy streets outside. It is known as the first national university in Vietnam and the symbol of Vietnamese architectural values. Cap off the excursion strolling through the labyrinthine alleyways of the Old Quarters. This oldest continuously developed area of Hanoi was once an important centre of commerce where goods were sold on the street name of a particular guild. Stop at a roadside coffee shop, mingle with the locals and enjoy the daily life passing by.

Travel to Tuan Chau Pier, where you will embark on an overnight cruise through the serene waters of Lan Ha Bay. Known as a quieter alternative to the iconic Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay is situated to the east of Cat Ba Island and forms part of a stunning World Biosphere Reserve. With a geological history dating back approximately 18,000 years, the bay offers a breathtaking seascape of dramatic karst formations and emerald waters. Upon arriving at the pier, take a brief speedboat ride to your cruise vessel, where a warm welcome awaits. Settle in and enjoy a delicious lunch as the ship begins its journey through the bay's mesmerizing limestone islands. Depending on the cruise itinerary, you’ll have opportunities to explore this natural wonderland, either this afternoon or the following morning. Activities may include visiting hidden caves and grottos, touring pearl farms, relaxing on pristine island beaches, or even kayaking through the tranquil waters. As evening falls, take part in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration and savor a delightful dinner on board. Conclude your day by anchoring for the night amid the picturesque karst formations, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of Lan Ha Bay.

Synonymous with the Vietnam War and a testament to the determined spirit of the Vietnamese, the underground network of passages at Cu Chi is a fascinating day trip out of the city. Work on the tunnels began during the war against the French in the 1940s and over the next 25 years as the conflict with America escalated, they were improved and expanded to create an underground city of meeting areas, storerooms, living quarters and much more. The tunnels allowed the Viet Cong to control a vital area of South Vietnam and at their height, extended for more than 200KM in length and stretched from what was then Saigon to the Cambodian border. Preserved as a memorial park, a small section of this remarkable network is open to the public and there is the option to go below the surface to visit the tunnel first hand. There is plenty of interest above ground as well and it is recommended to bring good footwear, sunscreen and a hat. Please note you may get a little dusty if you decide to go underground.

Get picked up by your guide and transfer to the pier by electric taxi, where you'll begin your journey on the Saigon River aboard a waterbus, offering panoramic views of landmarks like Bitexco Tower and Thu Thiem Bridge. Glide past the city's bustling skyline, soaking in the vibrant energy of Saigon. In Thao Dien (District 2), explore leafy streets filled with artisanal boutiques and stylish cafés, a vibrant blend of old and new Saigon. Retreat to a hidden wellness sanctuary for a rejuvenating yoga session amidst lush greenery, providing a peaceful escape from the urban energy. After yoga, immerse yourself in the arts at the Quang San Private Art Museum, home to over 1,000 masterpieces that showcase Vietnam's artistic evolution. Enjoy a sensory lunch at a renowned vegetarian restaurant, where locally sourced ingredients offer a taste of Vietnam's culinary richness. Your return journey through the Saigon Metro and an EV taxi ride wraps up this unforgettable experience, leaving you with a deeper connection to the city's rhythm, culture, and people.
