Early departure toward the Caribbean coast. Breakfast will be offered at the hotel before departure and en route. Driving through the northern part of the country, you will see a beautiful landscape of tall mountains, rivers, and cloud forests. Upon arrival to the closest town near Tortuguero, you will embark on a boat ride to your hotel (approx. 90min). Through a series of canals, you might even spot a few exotic birds, monkeys, and caimans. After check-in and lunch at the hotel, you will start your exploration of the area with a visit to the town of Tortuguero. Return and dinner at the hotel. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)  

In the morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Tortuguero National Park for a boat tour where you will discover the rich biological diversity of this coastal zone. Located in a tropical climate, this remote conservation area consists of eleven different habitats, including rainforest, mangrove forests, swamps, beaches, and lagoons. It shelters seven species of turtle, a large variety of crustaceans and many species of freshwater fish. Through this morning excursion, you will be able to see birds, monkeys, caimans and much more! Following lunch, free time to relax at your hotel or opt for an optional tour that will be offered at destination. Dinner at the hotel. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)  

Following breakfast, you will board a boat for your transfer back to the pier. Continuation by bus to Guapiles, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoying the scenery and countryside views along the ride, you will reach the town of La Fortuna in the Arenal area. Rest of the day free to enjoy the facilities of your hotel. Dinner at leisure. After breakfast, get ready to discover the secrets of what makes Costa Rican coffees and chocolates some of the best in the world. You will learn about the entire coffee process, from seed to cup, on this intuitive agricultural tour. On to the sweetest part of the activity, your guide will describe the entire chocolate process, before you will have the opportunity to taste several types of chocolates produced locally. Upon your return to the hotel, free time to opt for optional activities such as hiking in La Fortuna’ waterfall (approx. $20 USD / person), go for a short hike to discover the famous Arenal Volcano (approx. $21 USD / person), or spotting sloths & toucans in their natural habitat (approx. $70 USD / person). Dinner on your own. (Breakfast) 

Breakfast at the hotel before departing toward Monteverde. You will drive around Lake Arenal, taking in amazing views of the Volcano and surrounding nature, where a few local communities perched in the mountains remain. Upon arrival in Monteverde, you can walk around the hotel or go for a walk in the little town of Monteverde (approx. 20 min walk). We recommend going to a viewpoint near the hotel to watch a beautiful sunset. Evening at leisure. (Breakfast)  

After breakfast, you will discover the beauty of Costa Rican forests on the first hanging bridges built in the country. This guided adventure will bring you on trails and amazing hanging bridges through the dense cloud forests of Monteverde. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the surrounding flora and fauna at every level of these magical tropical rainforests. Lunch and rest of the day at leisure. In the afternoon, you can book a zipline excursion (approx. $105 USD / person) in the cloud forest of Monteverde. In the evening, you can opt for a night walk (approx. $73 USD / person) to meet wildlife and potentially see frogs, sleeping birds, scorpions, insects, and more. Dinner at your convenience. Breakfast at the hotel. Head to the Pacific coast, where the final part of your trip will be more independent. Arrival at the hotel around 1:00 PM for check-in. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the hotel facilities or relax at the nearby beach. (Breakfast)

Enjoy a scenic hike of approximately 2 miles along well-maintained trails, leading to a stunning beach once named one of the “Most Beautiful Beaches in the World” by Forbes magazine. Take in the lush rainforest surroundings before arriving at the white-sand shoreline, where you can relax.
